Our friend told us he always comes here for their Katsu Curry Rice. Because of their Curry rice, he fall in love with curry!
So we try the pork Katsu Curry rice, it was pretty good! At the first, I tasted the curry with rice, I thought this is just some regular homemade taste curry. BUT! Until I tried the KATSU! The golden crisps are perfectly fried! I don't fry anything at home, but if I want fried pork Katsu, I would definitely visit here again!!
I also added a little spicy sesame oil because it wasn't hot enough for me, it just add more umami into the curry. It's totally optional for you.
Hope to try more of their dishes next time! Service was warm and friendly too. Thanks for serving us on Easter Day. -

The best place for ramen! Also, decent sashimi. And, they have chicken hearts. Try nigori, the cold, unfiltered sake. Wait staff has always been responsive and welcoming: top-notch service. Rarely have to wait for a table, either.

Dont you dare even come here for the convenience when you're craving and don't want to drive far, just go ahead and make that drive!! Trust me...
Prices are too high for the quality and portions you receive.
Don't get the ramen, it's okay.
Katsu Don is decent, but not as crispy as I'd like.
(Adding to my review) Ordered take out recently to give a second shot, it is confirmed: don't get their ramen. It's like a fancier cup of noodle haha. Egg sucks. Ordered corn, there's like no corn. Lmao why charge extra for 10 pieces of corn....!!
Go to 21 Taste House near ccsf where not only does the price and quality match, they have even bigger portions! Nearby too if you didnt want to travel for San Mateo ramen. -

Unagi Fried Rice?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
Yes, this is a ramen spot...but I only found their ramen to be subpar (unpopular opinion). We ordered the grilled chicken wings, a mini sized miso ramen, and the unagi fried rice during our visit.
What the ramen lacked, the fried rice made up for!
It's in one of the busiest plazas, parking can be a pain, but you'll find it eventually. -

I've eaten here a few times and it's been decent.
However, I ordered to-go one night and I was so disappointed.
I ordered ramen and two chicken curry dishes.
I should have made top ramen at home cause it would have been better and more noodles.
The chicken curry dishes were worse. Very little food. Just look at the photo.
I wouldn't pay more than $5 for what they put in the box. Instead each curry dish order is $11.75. That's ridiculous! Why should I, or anyone, pay that much for what I was given? Bad. I think L&L gives you 3x more chicken for half the price.
I drove back and asked them to either add more chicken or refund me. The waitress said they cannot put any more chicken in so I got my money back. Not good service if they won't even add more meat. They obviously do not care about customer service. I won't be returning.
